- 2 cans chopped clams, drained (reserve the juice)
- 1 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
- 1 cup finely chopped onion
- ½ cup chopped cooked bacon (about 4-5 slices)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp ground black pepper
- ½ cup melted butter
- 1 cup bread crumbs (preferably panko for crispiness)
- ¼ cup reserved clam juice
- ¼ cup dry white wine
- Lemon wedges and fresh parsley for garnish
Preheat your oven to 375°F
In a large bowl, mix together the clams, green pepper, onion, bacon, Parmesan cheese, garlic, oregano, and black pepper.
In a separate bowl, combine melted butter, bread crumbs, reserved clam juice, and white wine. Stir until the mixture is well combined.
Gradually add the bread crumb mixture to the clam mixture, stirring to combine.
