How to get there
Eastville is located in the heart of Northampton County, on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. It is also the county seat.
The easiest and only way to get here is by taking U.S. Route 13, also known as the Ocean Highway.
If you’re coming from the north, you’ll pass through the cities of Salisbury, Maryland, and Pocomoke City, Maryland before crossing the state line into Virginia. From there, Eastville is about 55 miles away.
If you have just entered the ESVA from the south using the Bay Bridge Tunnel, Eastville is about 17 miles away. You will pass signs for Kiptopeke, Capeville, Fairview, and Cheriton, before reaching your destination.

History
Eastville Inn
This location was operated as a tavern as early as 1724. This tavern was called the Taylor House and is currently known as the Eastville Inn. The tavern served as the center of Eastville’s social life. It was also conveniently located next door to the courthouse.
